Anyone read 'Parzifal' (or is it Parcifal?) by Wolfram von Eschenbach? If so,
what do you think it's trying to tell us? Ever read 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail'
(can't remember the authors)? This book is a follow-up to a series made by BBC2
in the UK. It tells of how the Grail legend refers to the tracing of the
alleged offspring of Jesus fleeing the Holy Land, and settling down in Europe.
This was referred to as Holy Blood. If anyone knows of this subject, please let
me know what you think...

I read the book (HBHG) and enjoyed it immensely. I bought it
serendipitously in a bookshop in Birmingham (England) in 1984. If not
true, then well told. :-)

I think the authors made an honest mistake, since they were used by
Pierre Plantard. The stuff about Jesus certainly still stands up; stuff
about Arthurian legends etc seems plausible in most cases. However, the
Priory of Sion stuff is a hoax perpetrated by Plantard.

Wikipedia has a good summary of this.

Actually, the story of Plantard's hoax is almost as entertaining as HBHG
but has the advantage of being something which actually happened.

At first, I thought it was all mentally retarded bullshit. But now I
believe it to be a criminal fraud.

of a world of ours. I suppose these ginks who argue that way hold that
because the rich man gets ice in the summer and the poor man gets it in
the winter things are breaking even for both. Maybe so, but I'll swear
I can't see it that way."
